James joined the RBC Brewin Dolphin Leeds office in 2001 and is an Investment Manager. He manages multi-asset portfolios for private clients, trusts, pension funds, companies and intermediaries such as Independent Financial Advisers.
He is proud of the personal relationships he has built with local clients and their families, with many living within a mile of his home. He is happy to spend time talking to them about any financial concerns they have, from wills to how to educate the next generation of their family in managing wealth.
James began his financial services career in 1993 for Kleinwort Benson trading equity options on the London International Financial Futures Exchange. In 1998 he returned to his native Yorkshire and joined Brown Shipley before moving to RBC Brewin Dolphin. He became a Divisional Director in 2008 and is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
