James is an Investment Manager in our London office. He constructs and manages multi-asset class portfolios for charities and institutions. This includes Livery companies in the City, schools, universities and wildlife and military charities.
He is proud of how our London Charities team has grown since, alongside a colleague, he helped set it up from a standing start when they joined the group in 2008. Having studied zoology at the University of Edinburgh he is a strong advocate of responsible investment.
James has managed Charities’ investments throughout his career, starting at HSBC as an Investment Assistant in its Charities team in 2006. He became a Divisional Director at RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2019. He has a Diploma from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
