Alastair is a Regional Financial Planning Manager in the Edinburgh office. He is head of the Financial Planning teams in Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Belfast, overseeing strategy. He is a strong advocate of providing broad financial advice and having rich conversations with clients.
He is also a Financial Planner, developing plans for mainly private clients and some corporates. He covers areas such as estate planning, pensions, inheritance tax, retirement planning, tax management and life and health protection.
Alastair began his financial services career at Scottish Widows in 1999 before moving to an IFA to work as a Paraplanner and later an Adviser. He joined RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2005 as a Financial Planning Consultant. He became a Divisional Director in 2012, Head of Edinburgh Financial Planning in 2015 and Regional Financial Planning Manager in 2019. He has a DipPFS and is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
