Alan is an Investment Manager in the Aberdeen office. He manages the investment portfolios of both direct private clients and those of intermediaries such as independent financial advisors (IFAs). The majority of the clients are individuals as well as trusts, companies and charities across the North East of Scotland.
He also sits on the Investment Strategy committee, discussing the findings of the central research team in London and filtering that down to the Portfolio Management team in Aberdeen.
Alan began his financial services career with RBC Brewin Dolphin in 2005 as a graduate trainee. He is proud of developing the Intermediaries team in Aberdeen from a standing start in 2009, carefully selecting IFAs who share RBC Brewin Dolphin’s goals and objectives. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
