Life events, such as caring for a child or elderly parent, can impact how much you work and therefore how much you can save into your pension. And with 37% of women working part time compared with only 14% of men1, this contributes to a gender pensions gap. In fact, it’s estimated that on average, a woman would need to work and save for a staggering 19 extra years to retire with the same size pension as a man2.

Although closing this gap may seem daunting, it’s never too late to start looking at ways you can boost your pension pot. In our webinar, we explore these ideas so you can make the most of your retirement.

We covered:

  • Life stages – where are you and where do you want to be?
  • The effect of career progression and career breaks on pensions
  • How relationship changes can affect your pension
  • Retirement income and tax wrappers
  • Inheriting a pension
  • The next generation’s impact on your pension pot.
