RHS Chatsworth
Brewin Dolphin has announced that it is sponsoring RHS Chatsworth this year to support the new annual RHS Flower Show as part of its 2017 gardening programme that includes sponsoring a display in the Great Pavilion at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Sponsoring a large Chatsworth garden by award-winning designer Jo Thompson marks a continuing relationship with the RHS after five successful years at RHS Chelsea. The Brewin Dolphin garden, which will appear in the new FreeForm category at the show, will also be the main focus of Brewin Dolphin’s annual programme of gardening events.
Responding to the spectacular Derbyshire landscape of the 1000-acre parkland at Chatsworth House, and sited on the banks of the River Derwent, the scale of the garden will reflect the grandeur of its setting, taking in the shape of the river and combining naturalistic planting with a striking steel installation.
RHS Chelsea
Maintaining its heritage with RHS Chelsea, Brewin Dolphin will also retain a presence at the flagship RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London, by supporting a display by Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants in the Great Pavilion.
The display marks plantswoman Rosy Hardy’s 25th year of exhibiting at RHS Chelsea and follows her Show Garden debut last year designing the Brewin Dolphin Forever Freefolk garden. Hoping to emulate her 21 previous gold medals, the large walk-through exhibit will display herbaceous perennials in a landscape setting separated by a diagonal path and two still water rills.
Plants will include seasonal favourites: geraniums, ferns and grasses and a hosta that has featured in every one of Rosy’s RHS Chelsea displays since she arrived at the show in 1992.

Jo Thompson is one of the UK’s leading garden designers. Named ‘Best Rural Garden Designer’ (2011) and a Society of Garden Designers ‘Future Designer’ (2014), she is also listed by House and Garden magazine as one of the country’s top ten garden designers.
Jo’s garden designs range from tiny rooftop spaces to residential family gardens, public spaces and country estates. Jo uses her understanding of place to ensure that the landscapes she creates work seamlessly in their location. Rosy Hardy is an award-winning nurseryman listed as one of the Top 20 horticulturists by The Sunday Times Home.
She has been a consistent medal winner at RHS Flower Shows including 21 Gold medals at The Chelsea Flower Show making her the most successful female floral exhibitor.
