Wealth manager RBC Brewin Dolphin organised a plant sale of its prize-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden in aid of London charity The Felix Project, raising £967 in an hour for the food redistribution charity. The Felix Project, which is RBC Brewin Dolphin’s head office’s chosen charity, works to fight food waste and hunger in the capital.

As well as benefitting The Felix Project, the end of show plant sale also saw representatives from a previous RBC Brewin Dolphin charity partner, Single Homeless Project (SHP), collect the unsold plants, which they will now replant at some of their hostels.

Rosie Richardson-Aitken, senior corporate responsibility manager at RBC Brewin Dolphin, said: “This year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show had sustainability and preserving nature at its heart, so what better way to support these themes and commemorate our show garden than by donating the proceeds from the end of show plant sale to The Felix Project. This wonderful charity aims to end food waste and hunger by repurposing healthy food for those in need across London.”

Ellie Fletcher, corporate partnerships manager at The Felix Project, added:  “What an amazing and vibrant event to be a part of. A huge thanks to RBC Brewin Dolphin for their hospitality and supporting us through this sale. To raise £967 in just an hour is incredible and will help to generate 2,804 meals for Londoners living in food insecurity.”
